Gotham: Year One Application

Please fill out the information below and email the completed application to year-one-mods@googlegroups.com. Paste the app into the body of the email. Be sure you've read the game information and FAQ. The mods will email you back at the address you used to submit the application.

Rather than rejecting an application outright, the mods will work with you to develop any perceived weak spots. If we do return an application to you, you may send it back whenever you've made the revision and are not required to wait an additional month.

Please note: Arrival into the city may be affected by World Rules concerning the affect of the multiverse barrier, merged canons, limitations on powers, or otherwise. The mods will help sort any of that out for you. That's what we're here for.

Personality: [Who is this character? What is s/he like? For example, what is s/he like under stress, at rest, at play? What are his/her hopes, fears, dreams, motivations? How does s/he relate to others? What's important to him/her? What will s/he die for? Kill for? Live for?

What's not so great about this character? How do they handle rejection, conflict, fear, anger? What scares them? What makes them angry? What's the worst thing that could happen to them, and how would they react?

You don't have to answer all of these questions, but please consider both positives and negatives, as well as the impact being in Gotham is likely to have on them.]

This section of the application deals with your plans for the character.

Goals and Challenges: [Tell us five things you hope to do with this character. One should be a short term goal, one a long term goal. At least one should deal with how they're going to support themselves, and at least one should deal with specific other characters or groups of characters currently in play. At least two of the five should deal with challenges the PC may face in Gotham. Obviously, there will be overlap between goals and challenges; we're looking for you to create opportunities for your PC to need the input or help of others to deal with something they'll face.]

Sample Plot: [Give us an example of the sort of plot you hope to play featuring this character. It doesn't need to be detailed, but it should have a beginning, middle and end. For example, "Pup discovers an artifact that lets her see five minutes into the future.
