Rifts
Rifts are in five set locations around the city. Any incoming characters MUST enter the city through one of the five rifts, listed with their District map location.
Detailed information is at each rift page and is the most up-to-date information available.

Neighborhoods
These neighborhoods are used most frequently by PCs, however, a complete listing of city districts can be found on the Districts page.
- Bristol: suburbs, mansions and rich homes; includes Gotham Heights and Crest Hill neighborhoods.
- Somerset: mostly undeveloped farmland and forest.
- Crime Alley / Park Row: formerly upper-class neighborhood turned slum.
- Coventry: formerly upscale, now declining residential area.
- Chelsea: University and nightlife district.
- Robinson Park: large park in the center of Gotham.
- Upper East Side: mostly single-family homes with a concentration of Mafia influence.
- Upper West Side: a bad part of town: tenements, high crime rates, little police presence.
- Chinatown: high concentration of Chinese residents; artistic district.
- Midtown: small residential communities.
- Old Gotham: downtown business district, including the Fashion District.
- The Hollows: saturated in magical energy; a popular residential and arts area.
- City Hall District: downtown; government, police and fire center.

Black Bass Bar
- One of many seedy drinking establishments.
The Corner Bar (Loc: Q5)
- A dive bar on the Upper East Side.
The Lion's Den (Loc: R2)
- The male/female/whatever's-your-fancy strip club, owned by Tyrion Lannister. It's a show you will never forget.
Oxie's (Loc: U1)
- Yet another seedy drinking establishment, also known as The Dive. Nominally owned by Katie Bell Oxendine and managed by Ellen Harvelle.
Peregrinator's Club
- This is an exclusive gentleman's club.
The Speakeasy (Loc: W6)
- A 1920's-style speakeasy in the City Hall District, frequented by the 26ers. Proprietor: Sally Jupiter.
Tobacconists Club
- The Tobacconists Club was an exclusive gentlemen's club.
Tom's Pub
- A surprisingly well-stocked bar owing to its nearness to City Hall. Bartender Mike Michael Michaels.
Ventriloquist Club
- Also referred to as the "Ventriloquist Clug", this was a nightspot owned and operated by Arnold Wesker, the Ventriloquist.
Community Service
The Co-Op (Loc: R4)
- Offers food and supplies for the needy or unemployed in exchange for work. Run by Dinah Lance.
Mortimer Road Soup Kitchen (Loc: Q4)
- Located near the edge of the Upper East Side by Robinson Park, this Soup Kitchen has been operating from the early days post-cataclysm.
Hotels
The Empire Hotel (Loc: U5)
- A mid-range hotel on Lexington Avenue.
- A very high-class hotel, frequented by Bruce Wayne.
Ritz-Carlton
- The Ritz-Carlton is a posh hotel resort.
Services
13th Street Offices (Loc: V12)
- Office building for various businesses, including Harry Dresden's magic investigation agency and Chase Meridian's private psychiatric practice.
Nightlife Salon (Loc: V13)
- A hair salon, mostly for women. Proprietor: Thomas Raith.
Silvercrest Villa Nursing Home (Loc: T6)
- This long-term care nursing home is located in Midtown.
- An all-natural laundry in Little Tokyo, run by Mrs. Wong.
Winters Next (Loc:T7)
- The offices and studio of fashion designer Stephanie Winters.
Shops
Alexandria's Library (Loc: V1)
- One-stop shop for charms, amulets, odds and ends, including technology. Just don't try to buy the books. Proprietor: Sam Winchester.
Custom Conversions (Loc: O3)
- Providing electro-conversion of vehicle engines. Proprietor: Samantha Carter.
Haberdasheria
- The Haberdasheria is a retail outlet on Salem Street that specializes in hats.
Infantino's Costumes
- A small costume shop.
Krusty M's Laser Disk Emporium
- A small shops that buys, sells and trades DVDs, CDs, video games, etc.
Neo-Eden
- Neo-Eden was one of several garden centers in the city.
The Tree of Knowledge (Loc: ??)
- A bookstore with surprisingly few patrons or books ever actually sold. Proprietor: Aziraphale.
Other Businesses
Paradise Diner (Loc: V8)
- Safe, neutral territory for socializing and/or negotiations of any kind. Does not currently serve food. Owned/managed by Raguel.
Progurt Factory (Loc: O4)
- A facility for manufacturing Progurt, a protein substitute invented by Kathryn Janeway, who also runs the factory.
Wackdonals
- A popular fast-food eatery.
Vincenzo's Ristorante (Loc: U6)
- A romanticized Italian-style restaurant in an historic building in Old Gotham, with very fine food and drink offerings by the city's standards.
Cultural Sites
Gotham Museum of Art (Loc: U4)
- The city's largest art museum, also home of the Grayson Collection of Romany and Circus Art.
Gotham Public Library (Loc: W8)
- The main branch of the city's public library.
Museum of a Thousand Worlds (Loc: S5)
- A museum created after the Cataclysm to house artifacts that come through the five rifts. Curator: Bernice Summerfield.
Vauxhall Opera Shell & Indoor Concert Center (Loc: S4)
- Home of the Gotham opera and a popular gathering place for the city's elite.
Correctional Facilities
Arkham Asylum (Loc: M2)
- Institution for the criminally insane. Actually refers to two sites: the original in Crest Hill and the new facility on Mercey Island.
Blackgate Penitentiary (Loc: Z2)
- Bad but not necessarily insane criminals. Located in Gotham Harbor on Blackgate Isle.

Gotham University and Medical Center (Loc: O1)
- The local University and teaching hospital, in Midtown.
Xavier Institute of Gotham (Loc: B3)
- School for young people with mutations, powers or special abilities, located outside the city in Somerset.
Gotham High School (Loc: T4)
- High school in Midtown for a wide range of class and backgrounds.
Gotham Heights High School (Loc: A4)
- Suburban, upper/middle-class high school in the Gotham Heights neighborhood of Bristol.
Brentwood Academy (Loc: A5)
- Formerly a very upper-class private boys' school located in the Crest Hill neighborhood of Bristol. Now a low-tech commune and farm.

- Teaching hospital associated with Gotham University, located in Chelsea.

- The private practice of Dr. Janet Fraiser.

- Another hospital in the city.

Aparo Park (Loc: C1)
- A river-side park on The Hill.
Dark's Pandemonium Carnival
- Dark's Pandemonium Carnival was a horror-themed fun house located in Gotham County. Now closed.
Gotham Knights Stadium (Loc: F1)
- The Knights Dome is home to the American League baseball team, the Knights.
Gotham Square Gardens (Loc: F3)
- The Wildcats NBA team and the NHL Blades share this stadium.
Grant Park and Gotham City Zoo (Loc: V11)
- A popular outdoor gathering place, home of concerts, festivals and an outdoor bazaar.
Robinson Park (Loc: P)
- The large central park, claimed by Poison Ivy until December 31, 2009, offers spacious open parkland as well as several features:

- An abandoned amusement park.

Tenniel Estates
- The Tenniel Estates were once owned by Victorian illustrator John Tenniel (famous for his work on Alice in Wonderland). After his death, his property was converted into a garden which featured likenesses of many of the characters that he illustrated.

Cathedral Square (Loc: W3)
- Site of the Gotham Cathedral.
Dixon Dock (Loc: S3)
- Shipping and transport docks located in Chinatown.
Finger River (Loc: Z3)
- The river separating the south and central islands of the city.
Infantino Parkway
- This is one of the larger thoroughfares in Gotham City.
Poison Ivy's Land (Loc: B4)
- Poison Ivy controls a long stretch of land in Somerset, off-limits to regular citizens.
Port Adams (Loc: V10)
- Much of the city's fishing trade passes through these docks near The Hollows.
Radio Free Gotham (Loc: B7)
- This radio tower in Somerset was abandoned after the cataclysm, but started playing music again in early 2010. Run by: Jack (The Tribe).
Rogers Yacht Basin (Loc: D1)
- Site of the wealthy Gotham City Yacht Club.
Sprang River (Loc: Z4)
- River separating the central and north islands of the city.
Statue of Freedom
- The Statue of Freedom is a Gotham City landmark located outside Gotham harbor similar in design and purpose to the Statue of Liberty in New York City.
Tricorner Yard (Loc: Y2)
- Naval Yard decommissioned in 1975.

Archie Goodwin International Airport (Loc: A7)
- Current home of the Consortium for Rift Research, otherwise abandoned.
The "C" Building (Loc: Q3)
- An office building on the Upper West Side.
Gotham Clock Tower (Loc: U2)
- Largely off-limits. Inhabited by Barbara Gordon.
One Gotham Center (Loc: T5)
- A large shopping complex in Midtown.
Wayne Tower (Loc: U3)
- Headquarters for Wayne Enterprises.

Gotham Cathedral (Loc: W4)
- An enormous Gothic cathedral in City Hall District, the largest Catholic church in the city.
Our Lady of the Valley (Loc: Q7)
- Boarded-up, falling-down and abandoned church just north of Miller Harbor.
St Anthony's (Loc: T3)
- Abandoned church in Midtown.

Bobby's junkyard (Loc: CC2)
- Bobby Singer's house and salvage yard, transplanted to the grasslands west of the city.
Guy's Bar (Loc: CC5)
- Warriors, a superhero-themed bar and diner, transplanted to the grasslands north of the city.
Little A'Le'Inn (Loc: BB2)
- Restaurant, bar and motel, ransacked and abandoned, in a pocket desert north of the city.

- A peri bar open for business in the Riverlands, outside of the city. Proprietor: Ishiah.
The Raven (Loc: AA4)
- Vampire bar, not open for business, in an isolated location along the Riverlands' river. Possessed by: Javier Vachon.

- Part of Atlantis, located on New Athos Island in Bob Kane Sound east of the city.
Inidrla-na (Loc: CC7)
- Training room with a balcony from an alien world.
Thrones of the Greek Gods (Loc: CC8)
- Two thrones from Olympus, set in the side of a mountain.
Titans Tower (Loc: BB1)
- A large T-shaped tower, headquarters of the Titans.

- An office building, formerly law firm, south of Gotham Harbor.

Endless Gallery (Loc: CC4)
- Death's Gallery, transplanted near Poison Ivy's Land on the mainland.
Lighthouse of Grimglass (Loc: DD1)
- This lighthouse sits on the coast of the peninsula directly south of the city.
Salvatore Boarding House (Loc: CC6)
- The home of the Salvatore family, transplanted just on the mainland side of Brown Bridge.
Schinasi Mansion (Loc: AA2)
- A famous home in New York City, transplanted south-west of the city.
Temple Tariki Hongan (Loc: AA1)
- A moderately-sized Buddhist temple, transplanted across a river south-west of the city.
The X-Mansion (Loc: CC3)
- Charles Xavier's mansion, transplanted just north of Brown Bridge on the mainland.
Spacecraft
Pieces of Voyager (Loc: CC1)
- Several decks of the Federation starship Voyager, transplanted just north of the city.

- A small spaceship, docked at Atlantis Control Tower.
