"Of course you are. Joyful noises like this would make any decent fellow's skin crawl, holy or not. You're quite rude, you know," Crowley added. "Nothing joyful in bad manners, my boy."
"Aziraphale said I was very polite. It must be the company."
"I'm very polite, my dear. The wicked tend to be more polite than the good. No one is tempted to sin by rudeness. It's human nature. In all honesty, you could use a lesson. Tut, pet...you'd do well to mind your manners at all times. With those you like...as well as those you don't."
Overview: Crowley decides to teach Sam Winchester a little lesson. He likes the result so much, he extends it to the entire Internet.

Plot Summary
Amidst the confusion of which angel is in love with whom at karaoke on September 27, 2009, Crowley threatens to teach Sam a lesson.
October 26, lunchtime, Sam Winchester sends a charged email to Lindsey McDonald but Crowley sends it to Sam's brother, Dean. Dean calls Sam to talk it over. Meanwhile, Crowley likes the results so much, he decides to extend it to everyone.
When Lindsey gets home, Sam apologizes but Lindsey's not upset. After his own life explodes with an email gone wrong (See subplot: Mess with the Exes), Dick as Nightwing sends a text message to all the capes warning them but not everyone gets the message.
On the 27th, Sam calls Kitty and Tim and leaves messages about the internet gone wrong. Tim calls Sam back and tells him he already got naked pictures of his roommates girlfriend. Then, while Sam and Dean are researching, Kitty follows suit embarrassed to discover an incident with an email of her own gone astray.
On the 28th, Tim calls back to tell Sam he hasn't found anything. Neither has Kitty. Sam puts his thoughts in a journal drifts off, and when he wakes up on the 29th, he has a good idea who might be behind this. He calls Cas to find out whether an angel could do something like this. As soon as he hangs up, Sam goes to Phale and together they work out Crowley's done it and convince him to stop it.
As soon as its resolved, Sam posts to let everyone know the internet is restored.
Epilogue: In his personal journal, Sam blames himself. Lindsey tries to talk him out of it.
Subplots
In addition to the expected chaos, there was one sprawling subplot with Dick and the people he had slept with, a tighter one with Tony and the ones he'd like to, and a host of other complications.
Mess with the Exes
A partial email in Dick's drafts folder from two years earlier gets sent to everyone he's slept with in Gotham, and chaos results.
Stephanie texts Dick to find out if he meant it. They commiserate.
Helena and Dinah IM chat about Dick, Dinah reveals that she slept with him, and an email copy of the chat goes to Roy. Helena emails Dick, and knowing what's going on, Dick calls Helena and they work out some of their differences.
Rachel also got the email. She emails Dick back, and Dick calls her. They plan to meet on Sunday, but that doesn't happen.
Monet's touched and calls Dick. It wasn't for her, but Dick makes her feel like it might've been.
Pepper emails Dick with an amusing link but the email went to the entire family. Alfred, Mei Li, and Bruce (via Alfred) email her back. River got the email, as a friend of Pepper's and her intended response went public.
Thomas tells Felix he's afraid Dick's in love with him and Stephanie too. He decides to avoid the issue.
Tim is not amused but Dick thinks he should ask himself why an intelligent virus included Tim with his exes.
Meanwhile, Roy got the email from Helena and Dinah. He confronts Dick and punches him. They're both distraught. Dick texts Dinah furious for her carelessness. At an opportune moment, Lindsey calls to thank him for the laugh and Dick drags him out for a drink. Lindsey offers friendship but there's nothing he can say to Dick's fear.
Nightwing comms Sparrow looking for some action to distract himself. After a fight, they talk and Sparrow tries to convince him that there's no way Arsenal's giving him up.
Roy, meanwhile, goes to Dinah to confront her. Unlike Dick, she apologizes and they have an emotional reconciliation. Later that night Dinah talks to John about what happened. But in order to protect Dinah, Dick's not so forthcoming with Kyle. The next day Dinah tries to apologize to Dick and convince him to go to Roy; he tells her she doesn't know anything about anything.
Roy seeks solace from Stephanie, who he thinks might understand. Stephanie tells him he's an idiot.
Dick writes a letter to Wally about how bad he screwed up and how much he needs Roy back. In misery's lockstep, Roy writes a similar letter to Donna confessing he's fallen in love with Dick and he needs him back. Kyle writes an oddly similar letter to Connor wishing there was someone who could knock their heads together, because Kyle is the best boyfriend ever.
Dick's PTSD and nightmares are getting worse. Tim does his best to comfort him when he wakes screaming, but there's only one person he really wants. At the Halloween Charity Ball Steph tells Dick not to be stupid and just to talk to Roy because he's as bad off as Dick is.
Dick finally goes Roy, what is broken is fixed, and they are emotionally and physically reconciled. And then Dick and Kyle talk everything over, and make up.
Closet Door Opens
Dick and Tony have been emailing about Tony's bisexuality. McGee gets CCed accidentally on an email. Dick texts Tony to let him know and Tony freaks out.
Tim confronts Tony about the email and a kiss from several weeks earlier. He punches Tony, and Tony leaves. He finds himself at Dick's and they talk about what he should do. Dick promises Tony will always have a place in Gotham if things go as bad as he fears.
When Gibbs confronts Tony, Tony evades the issue.
Other Threads
Simon's diary goes to Dick, Roy, Kyle, and Cassie. All of whom figure prominently, along with Green Lantern. Dick calls Simon to let him know. Dick's vaguely irritated, Simon's embarrassed, they agree to have lunch and sort it out later. When all's settled, they do.
Benny's diary also goes to Dick. It talks about her PTSD and her attraction to Dick. Dick, concerned, calls her. He's sympathetic, she thinks she's getting fired, he convinces her to calm down and they'll meet for lunch to sort it out later. [Lunch still in progress].
Steph's wedding folder is accidentally sent to Dick, Dean, Castiel, Kyle, Sam, Lindsey, Thomas, and Tim. Dick texts her to see if its payback and they agree to go to the Halloween charity ball together to commiserate.
An old diary post of Tyrion's about his feelings for Janet goes to Janet, Sam Carter, and Sam Winchester. Sam Winchester calls him and lets him know what happened. Sam Carter writes a handwritten journal entry about it and the anonymous email about the whales that seems to be from Rodney, but she doesn't know he's in town; it's actually anonymous and goes to Sheppard and Rodney as well. Several weeks later, Janet and Tyrion mend the mischief over drinks.
Dick sends a very sweet email to Kyle but it goes to Kyle and Jason. Equal parts horrified and amused and relieved, Jason calls Dick to talk it over.
Jen posts about problems with the internet. Sam tries to explain but his responses and hers come out in demon languages and garble.
